The Tenis10 levels

Red, Orange, Green, Yellow. The level is set by age.

Built on the ITF's Tennis Play & Stay principles: slower balls, courts and rackets sized for the child. The level is set automatically from the date of birth — no tests.

Red

up to 8 years

First strokes: small court, slow ball, short racket.

Court
11 m long / 5–6 m wide
Net
80 cm
Ball
75% decompressed compared with the yellow ball
Racket
41–58 cm
What your child learns

Children learn the fundamentals of tennis from their very first lesson, feel comfortable on court, play as a team while developing good technique, and experience moving around the court. Smaller rackets ensure consistent contact with the red ball, which travels slowly. Children will be able to serve while varying direction, sustain a rally of over 20 shots, and vary the speed and direction of the ball to control the game and make the opponent move.

Orange

up to 9 years

Bigger court, longer rallies, all the basic strokes.

Court
18 m long / 6.5–8.23 m wide
Net
80–91 cm
Ball
50% decompressed compared with the yellow ball
Racket
58–63 cm
What your child learns

Players move to a larger court suited to their height, needing to improve their accuracy and pay attention to how the racket meets the ball. The ball comes a little faster but still offers an optimal hitting zone, while allowing longer rallies than at the red level. This stage builds a complete range of strokes — including net play, attacking and counter-attacking play, and shot variety. Children hit the ball with purpose and can identify strengths and weaknesses in their own game and in that of their opponents.

Green

up to 10 years

Full court, lighter ball: advanced technique and tactics.

Court
standard (23.77 m long / 8.23 m wide)
Net
standard (91 cm)
Ball
25% decompressed compared with the yellow ball
Racket
63–68 cm
What your child learns

The green ball is faster than the orange one, yet still lighter and bouncing less than a regular yellow ball, allowing advanced techniques and tactics to develop. The player gains advanced skills in court positioning, taking the ball on the rise, and weight transfer, in order to adapt to any game situation.

Yellow

up to 15 years

Tennis like the adults: standard court, ball and net.

Court
standard (23.77 m long / 8.23 m wide)
Net
standard (91 cm)
Ball
standard yellow ball
Racket
adapted to physical development
What your child learns

Players who have reached the yellow level now play on a standard tennis court, with a standard net height and a racket adapted to their physical development. Matches become increasingly competitive, with the player evolving fully — physically and technically — and, more than ever, mental and emotional preparation is addressed. The yellow level is available up to the age of 15. Afterwards, tennis can continue within the community of all amateur tennis players, Sportya – www.sportya.net.

Tenis10 has no ranking — only participations and, as your child grows, the next level.
